This leather crossbody is meticulously handcrafted using traditional techniques and hand-stitched with durable waxed thread for long-lasting strength. The soft, tactile body of the bag has an internal pocket and the strap is designed to pay homage to the plaited leather reins I used as a child. With solid brass bridle clips to attach the strap and a solid brass buckle to provide adjustment, this really is a bag you can take anywhere.

Made from the finest full-grain leather from J&FJ Baker of Devon, this hide is oak-bark tanned for over 14 months to increase durability and then hand-dyed with a blend of natural oils and greases, so each piece develops its own unique character. Originally produced for carriage hoods, the leather is soft and tactile yet highly resilient.

I only use the highest grade of leather, full grain leather that will display natural imperfections such as marks, scars and character from the hand dying processes, making each piece truly unique.

Everything I make is entirely handmade by me with locally, ethically sourced and sustainably tanned leather and materials with a focus on traditional craftsmanship, quality and longevity. Using traditional saddlery techniques and saddle stitching which ensures a stronger, more durable stitch than machine stitching, as it creates a knot with every stitch.
