I’m Melissa, I design and make every piece myself.
What started as a passion for traditional leatherwork has become a commitment to creating pieces that last for decades, not seasons.
I am very selective with the leather and tanneries I use. I use only full grain leather, the highest grade of leather and source from only 2 UK tanneries, who use sustainable tanning processes and hides that are a by-product of the UK meat industry from predominantly pasture fed cows. The sheepskins for my bags are sourced locally to me in Devon and are from sheep that are farmed in an ethical and regenerative way. Read more about the way I work here…
Using only traditional techniques I carefully hand craft leather bags and accessories, celebrating the character of the leather and respecting any natural scratches and scars as marks of the animals life in my work.
The leather and techniques used ensure that all products I make will wear in, not out and come with a lifetime guarantee on stitching and fastenings, so they really can last you a lifetime.
