The Evie Hand Bag - Unlined

£525.00

This leather hand bag has been entirely hand crafted using traditional methods and hand stitched using robust waxed thread.

The leather used for the exterior is from J&FJ Baker of Devon, England and is of the highest quality, it is Oak bark tanned for 14 months to preserve its strength and hand dyed using a unique blend of natural oils and greases. The flap is made with British goat leather from the Billy Tannery and is also bark tanned, made using goat skins that are a bi-product of the meat industry.

The bag itself has a unique closure with the handle running through the front flap and a hidden magnet fastening, this keeps the bag very secure. It has an interior pocket and double thickness handles for durability making it practical and beautiful.

I only use the highest grade of leather, full grain leather that will display natural imperfections such as marks, scars and character from the hand dying processes, making each piece truly unique.

Everything I make is entirely handmade by me with locally, ethically sourced and sustainably tanned leather and materials with a focus on traditional craftsmanship, quality and longevity. Using traditional saddlery techniques and saddle stitching which ensures a stronger, more durable stitch than machine stitching, as it creates a knot with every stitch.

I aim for my products to be heirloom pieces that can last a lifetime, to ensure this each of my products come with a lifetime guarantee on all stitching and fastenings… Made to wear in, not out. Read more about my process here…
